The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have already done something this football odds season that many people thought impossible just a few weeks ago: win a game. Unfortunately for Tampa fans the team will not add to this win total this week in Atlanta when a hungry and star-studded Falcons squad should take them the woodshed.
The Falcons at 5-5 have been one of the biggest disappointments of the football odds action this season. Granted this team has had some very tough games on the schedule so far like the Saints, Pats and Cowboys on the road. And it doesn’t get much easier down the stretch with Philly and New Orleans in the next two weeks in the pro football odds. Read more…
Even though the football odds list the Cincinnati Bengals as 14 points favorites at home versus the Browns in the week 12 action do not assume that this result is a foregone conclusion. Throw out the records in this one and focus on one simple factor: division rivalry. The AFC North games can be brutal and when division rivals get together it doesn’t seem to matter what the respective win loss records are these games are almost always close.
Add to that the fact that even the Bengals are leading the division the Browns are coming off their best game of the entire pro football odds season –a loss to be sure, but one that should have won. But even more important than the final NFL football odds score was the fact that QB Brady Quinn played not only the best game of his young career but he put together one of the best games played by any QB in the NFL this season with 304 yds, 4 TDs, 0 INTs and a passer rating of 133. Not much has gone right of the Buffalo Bills so far this year in football odds. The signing of Terrell Owens in the off season was a major bust. Naming Trent Edwards the starting QB has been a pro football odds failure. And even firing head coach Dick Jauron did little to improve the team’s winning pro football odds percentage. That’s why when the division rival Miami Dolphins travel to the tundra of Buffalo they’ll go back to South Beach with another notch in the win column and the Bills will find themselves 3-8.
Even with the loss of star RB Ronnie Brown the Dolphins found a way to beat a surging Panthers squad at home. The NFL betting reason of course was the team’s other stud RB, Ricky Williams who ran wild over the Carolina in the WildCat offense. Read more…
In the animal kingdom it would be a strange battle indeed, and perhaps difficult to pick a winner between a ram and a cardinal (the ram would obviously have the size and strength advantage, but the cardinal can fly; a tough choice). But on the grid iron it’s an easy call when the Rams and Cardinals do battle: Cards are the much better team.
Still, that doesn’t mean there isn’t a potential for an upset in this week 11 football odds matchups. All things being equal the Cards should dominate this pro football odds matchup. Arizona’s defense is one of the top units in the NFC and combination of Warner, Fitzgerald and Boldin on offense is one of the best in the league. Read more…
Two good NFC teams that just can’t seem to win in the pro football odds are the Falcons and the Giants. That pretty much sums up the football odds matchup when the Atlanta Falcons (5-4) travel to the Meadowlands to play the New York Giants (5-4).
Diehard New York fans must be wondering whether this team will ever come out on top of the pro football odds ever again. After starting out a perfect 5-0 against a steady stream of tomato cans the Giants can’t find the end zone.
