Pro football odds are shining this weekend as the Houston Texans receive the New York Jets at home this Sunday September 13th at 1pm. The Texans are -4 1/2 as theĀ  pro football odds at SBG Global show. As the road team for this season opener, the New York Jets are very likely to put it all on their running game with Thomas Jones. Nevertheless, the Jets will run into an outstanding Houston defensive front. The Jets will try to control the tempo of the game with a concrete ground attack.

In regards to position advantage, the pro football odds also favor the Houston Texans. They count with better and more experienced quarterbacks who will perform over Mark Sanchez, the rookie quarterback of the New York Jets. The experienced wide receivers such as Andre Johnson of the Houston Texans will also be a strong plus in the offensive tactics that they will carry out.

Last regular season 2008 show that the Jets are 7-9 against the spread and 4-4 away or on the road. Opposite to that, the Texans show 9-6 against the spread. This game might take a turn on the pro football odds if the Jets and Mark Sanchez can break down the fierce game that the Texans are destined to play. As a rookie, Steve Slaton only came across 2 lost fumbles. In other words, the Jets will have to at the very least force one fumble for Slaton, sack Matt Schaub two times at least and work on their interceptions to be able to increase their chances at this game. Plus, Mark Sanchez will have to watch out and not turn over the ball more than once.
