Rams versus in Cardinals in the desert

Arizona-Cardinals-2In the animal kingdom it would be a strange battle indeed, and perhaps difficult to pick a winner between a ram and a cardinal (the ram would obviously have the size and strength advantage, but the cardinal can fly; a tough choice). But on the grid iron it’s an easy call when the Rams and Cardinals do battle: Cards are the much better team.

Still, that doesn’t mean there isn’t a potential for an upset in this week 11 football odds matchups. All things being equal the Cards should dominate this pro football odds matchup. Arizona’s defense is one of the top units in the NFC and combination of Warner, Fitzgerald and Boldin on offense is one of the best in the league.

But the Cards can be an infuriating team to watch at times as they seem to play to the level of their competitors and play with absolutely no sense of urgency. The team tends to make games unnecessarily close against inferiors NFL football odds teams.

That being said the Rams are among the three worst teams in the league. Their entire offense is RB Steven Jackson running behind a mediocre O-line and they have no defense to speak of.

The Cardinals are seventh in the NFL in rush defense (101 yards per game) and should be able to keep Jackson under control. The Rams are giving up 236 passing yards a game and Warner should feast on the Rams’ weak secondary and lack of pass rush. Cards will win this one but the spread (-9 points) has the potential to be tricky business.
