Week One of Favre Experiment a Big Success

Brett FavrePro football odds bring the news on Brett Favre fresh and hot. The twice retired Brett Favre turned in the worst  season-opening stat line of his NFL football odds career on Sunday, but still managed to lead his age division in passing stats. More impressive was the team’s 34-20 steamrolling of the hapless Cleveland Browns on the road.

Favre ran for a TD, threw for a TD and notched a solo tackle against his own teammate in what was a lackluster but ultimately successful debut for the Minnesota Vikings. The real star of the show, as expected was RB Adrian Peterson. As Favre surmised after the game, “everyone in the stadium knows [Peterson] is going to get the ball” and he still manages to trounce pro football odds opponents.

On Sunday that trouncing came in the form of a three TD 180-yard performance. Held to just 25-yards in the first half Peterson busted lose in the second half and buried Eric Mangini’s hopes of a victory in his Cleveland debut.

The Vikes’ defense was good as advertised holding the Browns to just 268 total yards and the football odds game wasn’t nearly as close as the score indicated. With that kind of balance the Vikes are off to exactly the kind of start they had hoped for.

So far the Brett Favre experiment is off to a rousing start. Granted most of the heavy lifting was done by the running game, but for the gaining QB, so much the better. He threw for just 110 yards (14-21) but the less he has to work in football odds for September the fresher he’ll be in December.
